Merrell Crawfish Boil and a new Weezer track.

I woke up this morning to a new track from Weezer (edited to take out the horrible beginning, and still clocking at a little over six minutes.) To say I was so excited I leapt out of bed screaming would be an understatement. Let’s just say everyone in East Nashville knows exactly how I feel.

Now, while you could argue that Weezer has gone downhill faster than a wheelbarrow full of concrete in San Francisco after Pinkerton, I say Rivers still has what it takes to make his brand of epic rock songs, even if they are six minutes long

Take a listen and see what you think.

On another note, we are going to check out the Merrell Crawfish Boil today down at the Riverfront and while the bands are mainstream, my excitement level at getting to see Paramore, T-Pain, Presidents of the United States and New Found Glory is rising faster and faster by the second. All for a first weekend in town? Yes.
